Solder paste, solder wires and solder bars are all important materials for welding, playing key roles in their respective fields without substitutability.
Solder Paste generally has wettability and contains flux components, which can isolate air and prevent oxidation. It is divided into leaded solder paste and lead-free solder paste, mainly used in SMT, hot air welding, hotbar welding and laser welding.
Solder Bars can be divided into leaded solder bars and lead-free solder bars, generally used in dip soldering, DIP and wave soldering. They are characterized by good wettability, excellent fluidity, easy soldering, bright and full solder joints, and strong oxidation resistance. As solder bars are made of pure tin, they produce less solder dross, improving utilization rate.
Solder Wires generally do not contain flux, and different types of solder wires have different fluxes. They are mainly used in soldering irons, hotbar welding, laser welding, etc., especially suitable for the method of feeding tin while heating. It should be noted that solder wires without additives cannot be directly used for welding electronic components, because they have no wettability and expansibility, which will cause splashing during welding and poor solder joint formation.
Nowadays, solder paste, solder bars and solder wires have been widely used in SMT, communication equipment, computers and other electronic devices. Whether it is spot welding, wave soldering, reflow soldering or printing, they can be seen in large electronic device factories of major brands and small mobile phone repair shops. They are currently the most widely used welding materials in the market. It is believed that in the future development, solder paste, solder bars and solder wires will be applied to more soldering operations of electronic devices.
